Affiliate & Creator Privacy Notice

This notice supplements the Raciety Privacy Policy for people who apply to, participate in, or receive products through Raciety’s affiliate and creator programs. The responsible business is ROAD SOCIETY LLC (“Raciety,” “we,” or “us”). For the general privacy terms, see our Privacy Policy.

Information we handle

Depending on your participation, we may handle your name, contact details, public social-media profile and content, account and campaign status, affiliate ID, referral link or code, clicks and attribution identifiers, campaign communications, products sent, performance and commission records, payout details, and tax or identity information where needed for payment, verification, or legal obligations. For referred transactions, we may receive order identifiers, product and order totals, discount/refund status, and membership billing-event status needed to attribute commissions. We do not provide affiliates with customers’ full payment-card details.

Why we use it and who receives it

We use this information to assess applications, administer campaigns, track attributed sales, calculate and pay eligible commissions, send gifted products, prevent fraud, answer requests, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. It may be processed by Shopify, our affiliate-tracking provider, subscription/webhook provider, payment or payout providers, and other service providers acting on our instructions. We may disclose it when required by law or to protect our rights. Affiliates receive only the information needed for their own performance reporting, which may be aggregated or limited to transaction status and identifiers.

Cookies, lawful grounds, and retention

Referral links or codes and related cookies or similar technologies may be used to attribute visits and purchases, subject to applicable consent and cookie rules. Where required, non-essential tracking is used only after consent. Depending on the context and applicable law, we process data to perform program or campaign arrangements, meet legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting the programs, and we obtain consent where required.

We retain information for as long as needed to administer the program, resolve commission disputes, maintain accounting and tax records, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend claims. Retention periods depend on the record and applicable law.

International processing and your choices

Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights; identity verification may be needed.
